Consul-General Song Yumin met with the new Governor of Tasmania H.E.The Hon Kate Warner

On 12 December, Consul-General Song Yumin visited Hobart and met with the new Governor of Tasmania H. E. Kate Warner. He congratulated Governor Warner on taking over as the 28th Governor of Tasmania, and thanked her again for the thoughtful and meticulous arrangement of Tasmanian government during President Xi's visit to Tasmania, and expressed readiness to deepen the bilateral cooperation in economic, trade, education and culture. Governor Warner thanked Consul-General for his visit and congratulatory words, spoke highly of the historical visit by President Xi, and said that she will further promote Tasmanian cooperation with China during her tenure. Governor Warner took office on 10 December, as the first female governor of Tasmania. Wife of Consul-General Kang Xiaolei and husband of Governor Warner were present at the meeting.
