Notice on the Authentication Service

From January 9, 2023, the Chinese Visa Application Service Center (CVASC)in Melbourne will provide the authentication service on behalf of the Consulate-General of the Peoples Republic of China in Melbourne. The service provided by CVASC includes applications receiving, fees collection, documents release and inquiries. Application assessment and issuance of the authentication certificates remain in the authority of the Chinese Consulate-General in Melbourne.

The applicants whose document(s)is/arenotarized or issued in VIC or TAS should submit their application documents to the CVASC in Melbourne. All applicants need to book an appointment online in advance and there will be no service forthose who applied without an online appointment. The booking procedures and the authentication requirements are stated on our official website:https://www.visaforchina.cn/MEL2_EN/.

Chinese citizens may choose submitapplicationeither toCVASC or to the Chinese Consulate-General in Melbourne. The application to the Chinese Consulate-General in Melbourneshall  be submitted by post mail temporarily due to the current COVID-19 epidemic.

Service fee will be charged accordinglybased on the Schedule of Fees Chart on CVASC website.
