He noted that health and life sciences are important issues of common concern to the people of China and Australia. The two countries each have their own strengths in the field of biomedicine, with a solid foundation for cooperation and strong complementarity. There is tremendous potential for collaboration in areas such as infectious disease prevention and control, healthy aging, and cancer prevention and treatment.

The Chinese Consulate General in Melbourne stands ready to continue playing its role as a bridge and facilitator, and to support greater exchanges and cooperation between China and Australia in life sciences and health, biomedicine, science and technology, education, and other fields.
