On 18 May, Consul-General Fang Xinwen visited RMIT University and held in-depth discussions with Vice-Chancellor and President Alec Cameron on China-Australia education and people-to-people exchanges and cooperation.Also attending the meeting were Deputy Vice-Chancellor International Layton Pike and Director of International Nick Scarborough. Consul Ding Li, responsible for education and science and technology affairs, also participated in the event.

Consul-General Fang noted that China-Australia educational cooperation enjoys a solid foundation and has achieved fruitful outcomes. He expressed hope that both sides would continue to strengthen practical cooperation between universities, deepen people-to-people exchanges, and contribute to the sound and stable development of China-Australia relations.
Alec Cameron said that the university highly values its partnership with China and stands ready to further deepen practical cooperation with Chinese universities in areas including education, research and people-to-people exchanges.
