On June 17, the 2025 Australia-China Economic and Trade Cooperation Forum and Gala Dinner Celebrating the 10th Anniversary of the Signing of the China-Australia Free Trade Agreement was held in Melbourne. The event was co-hosted by the China Chamber of Commerce in Australia and the Australia China Business Council. H.E. Wang Wentao, Minister of Commerce of China, the Hon Don Farrell, Australian Minister for Trade and Tourism delivered video remarks. Nearly 400 representatives from political and business circles attended the event, including Minister Counsellor Gao Feng from the Chinese Embassy in Australia, the Hon Danny Pearson, Minister for Economic Growth and Jobs and Minister for Finance of Victoria, the Hon Andrew Robb AO, former Australian Minister for Trade and Investment, and the Hon John Brumby, former Premier of Victoria.

Consul General Fang Xinwen attended and delivered a speech, highly appreciating the achievements made since the formal signing of the China-Australia Free Trade Agreement ten years ago and expressing hope for greater development in bilateral relations. During the forum, experts and scholars also exchanged views on topics such as green energy and decarbonization, sustainable agricultural development, and future prospects for the China-Australia Free Trade Agreement.
