On November 7, Consul General Fang Xinwen was invited to attend the Hong Kong-Australia Cultural Exchange Concert in Melbhourne, organized by the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Sydney. The event was also attended by Mr. Ricky Chong, Director of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office, as well as Whitehorse City Councilors Andrew Davenport , along with other distinguished guests.

In his speech, Consul General Fang said that the Chinese central government fully supports the SAR government's governance and endeavour to build a better future for Hong Kong. Hong Kong and Australia have frequent exchanges and cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, culture and other fields. He believes that the concert would showcase Hong Kong's vibrant musical and cultural arts, further promoting cultural exchange and mutual learning between China and Australia.

Director Ricky Chong, in his remarks, emphasized Hong Kong's dedication to advancing cooperation with Australia in areas such as trade, education, and culture, and expressed hope for more exciting events in the future.
